Tobacco Absolute is a must have specialty oil in a perfumer’s repertoire of exquisite aromatics. Tobacco Absolute is a very complex tenacious perfume fixative with a melange of sweet, rich, elegant deep notes of chocolate, cherry and honeyed bourbon aromas reminiscent of luxury aged pipe tobacco. This absolute is on the sweeter side of the sweet/bitter spectrum but very tenacious and long-lasting and will help to fix perfume formulas but don’t add too much!

Tobacco absolute, much like Agarwood in that the complexity of its harmonious unique aromas can not be duplicated and resonates particularly well in masculine and Oriental bouquets. Tobacco blends well with citrus, woody, and most floral oils as well as those with leathery notes.

HISTORY OF USE

Used in Natural and fine perfume, a medium to base note fixative, fragrance ingredient: soap, lotions, candles, bath and body products and cosmetics.

Fragrance Impact:  Sweet, slightly smoky, rich aroma reminiscent of fine pipe tobacco.

Botanical Name:  Nicotiana tabacum

Description:  Very viscous and will need to be heated gently to get it mobile enough to use.

Properties:  Dark green substance that is solid at room temperature.

Uses:  Adds depth and character to natural perfumes, especially masculine and oriental blends. A very tenacious oil.

A secret note of the finest perfumers…now yours to try. Only a drop or two needed…. at most, one part in ten…wonderful with Lavender…try it with one of the rosy-scented EO’s…Palma Rosa or Rose Geranium…or with a soft, gentle Clary Sage….
